Veelo Technologies is expanding its team by adding a Production and Operations Manager to plan, organize and control production for Veelo Technologies to ensure that our products are produced to the quality standards of the industry, on time, within budget and exceed our customer expectations.
As Production and Operations Manager for Veelo Technologies you will:
· Serve as point person for all aspects of production of our suite of Advanced Heating Solutions. Responsible for running of all production lines and quality of output.
· Supervise production team members, and lead production for VeeloHeat products, with special attention to custom orders. Engage with R&D team to ensure developmental products move smoothly to production.
· Organize workflow to meet customer specifications and deadlines.
· Resolve production issues
· Estimate production costs, establish, and manage budgets and develop and report production metrics
· Lead inventory management, including sourcing and purchasing of raw materials that keep operations running at optimal levels
· Oversee machine maintenance and equipment procurement
· Administer safety training process for assembly technicians and engineers as systems are built
· Work in coordination with Quality leader to create, update, and enforce use of Standard Operating procedures for assembly lines
· Serve as the point person for facility maintenance and management.
Qualifications, Experience & Competencies:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, Aerospace, or other related disciplines (or proven equivalent experience) is required
· Minimum 5 - 7 years of successful Production Management and/or Operations Management experience in a high precision manufacturing environment is preferred
· Background in composite materials, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, and/or defense
is a plus.
· Previous experience leading a team is preferred.
· Lean and Six Sigma background preferred.
· Demonstrated planning, project management, problem solving techniques and analytical skills; able to partner and communicate with all levels of an organization from hourly associates to senior management, as well as with customer contacts
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
